With the tools that I am about to share with you, I have literally transformed people’s lives over the last 7 years.

I can honestly say I have witnessed what I and many others consider to be miracles in their lives as a result of sharing this information with them.

I have helped literally hundreds of people learn the techniques I am going to share with you, but one thing I must emphasize, knowing how to do these techniques is obviously very important but only by putting them into action do they really start to work for you.

I have had many years of experience working in various different fields, alongside some of the most successful people in the world. What differentiated the successes from the rest, is that when successful people hear an idea that can help them they immediately put it into action without delay

If you take away one main pearl of wisdom with you from this note I would invite you to make a decision that from now on whenever you hear a useful idea that can help you, that you do your very best to take an immediate action to put the idea into practice. Even if that action is to schedule a time when you will actually use the new idea and do something to put it into action.

There is a great power in taking a thought or an idea and turning it straight away into an action, because by doing so you are creating a channel for your potential to turn into reality.

**********************************************************
Nearly all the successful people I have ever met are willing to try new
things out instead of worrying whether things are going to work or not.
***********************************************************

People who want to get things right all the time without ever failing are people who never try anything new. They get the same undesirable results again and again because they’re so afraid of making mistakes. As Tom Watson founder of IBM once said if you want to double your success rate you must be willing to double your failure rate.

The techniques I’m about to share in the notes to come, are drawn from many years of experience applying the Law of Attraction in my coaching practice and in my own life. These ideas and new skills may seem strange at first if you have not encountered them before, but the same is true for any new skill that you have ever learned.

Anyone who has ever learned to ride a bike or drive a car will tell you that in the beginning it felt a little bit strange. Especially having to consciously pay attention to every detail, but as with nearly every skill that you learn, with a little bit of practice things will begin to feel natural until they have almost become second nature to you.

As the father of three wonderful children I am so grateful to have the privilege to watch how my little ones learn. I believe that we have so much to learn from children possibly even more than from adults. Children are blessed with an incredible ability to learn so quickly. One of the reasons is that they are willing to try new things. They look at everything as a game and turn learning into fun.

So with this in mind I invite you to play with the ideas and exercises in the following notes and enjoy what’s about to come.

Realizing the true power

I first realised the true power of these tools when I worked with a 19 year old boy who was suffering from severe learning difficulties. He also experienced vivid hallucinations whereby he would role-play 15 different people who were all criticising him and he would do this out loud in public for approximately 8 hours every day.

When he first came to me the boy was struggling with a basic IT course despite being tutored. He had very little social skills and had no friends. Within three sessions of me working with him I had reduced his self sabotaging role-playing from eight hours a day to one or two minutes.

After a few months of using visualizations and reprogramming with empowering beliefs, the boy had passed his course with distinctions. He now has a social circle and is completing a degree in University in computer science. The boy’s success was so striking that he was featured in the local papers and his story was included in his college’s brochure.

Since applying these tools in my own life I have started to see shocking “coincidences” that take place regularly in my life.

Familiarity is the number one human drive. How it was holding you back and how you can use it to your advantage from now on!

Many years ago when I was working as an assistant to Richard Bandler (Co Creator of NLP) on one of his world famous seminars, Richard said something which I only fully appreciated much later when I truly discovered its real power.

Richard said that:

“the number one drive in a human being is often familiarity over survival”.

People usually go for what they know often even when it is painful!

I will never forget being a young boy of about 11 years old at school. The teacher stood up in front of the class and told us something that stuck in my head and confused me for years. He told us that most people will not change their social class in their lives except for a tiny percentage. He told us that most lower class people were born into lower class families and will always remain lower class.

He said that nearly all middle-class people born into a middle-class families will always remain middle-class etc…

I never understood why this was until I realized how powerful the human drive is for familiarity. If poverty consciousness is all someone knows in their internal and external reality and abundance is outside of their “map” of what they can conceive of happening to them, then poverty is usually what they will be attracted to and poverty will be usually be attracted to them.

If you want to become successful in any area of life then you have to become a successful person in your mindset first. For example with wealth, you need to perceive yourself as being wealthy and have a healthy attitude towards money.

I have a relative who inherited a large chain of very successful stores. The business was absolutely thriving until he got his hands on it. He squandered most of the money and bled the business till there was nothing left within a year. Why? Because he had what I call a poverty mindset, his identity was that of a poor person and so he sabotaged his success. We have all heard stories of rock stars who reached the pinnacle of their careers and then sabotaged their success.

I also know a number of people who were millionaires and lost their fortune, only to quickly rebuild it despite the enormous debt they were in. Why? Because they had made abundance part of their identity.

Most people are afraid of the unknown. This means that when presented with an option to do something for which they have little or no direct experience of most people will choose not to do it because it’s unfamiliar, even if its something they think may benefit them.

It never ceases to amaze me in my work as a business adviser how many times I have seen people learn, tried and tested methods of marketing that have dramatically increased the revenue of many of my other clients. But when these methods are presented to people who have not come across them before, the initial reaction is often fear and a reluctance to do something outside of the model that they already know.

When we come into this world most of the mental programming that we receive we do not choose. If we are fortunate enough to be born into a loving family, with parents who have a great relationship, healthy beliefs about money and success etc then chances are high that we will follow in their footsteps because we have got used to it and have the “right” mental programme or movie in our heads.

If you behave AS IF you can do something

and you also start to envision it in your mind you can make that thing become possible and turn it into reality.

People often ask me if there are limitations to this and my answer to that is that previous generations would never have even been able to conceive of what has become possible in our generation. So I don’t like to put limits on what is possible.

Well the good news is that you can use the drive for familiarity to your advantage to literally skyrocket your success and create a new reality in your life in a fairly short space of time. How?

By reprogramming your mind and starting to visualize what it is that you want and pretend, act out and play just like a child does until wealth, health happiness and true love become part of your identity that you feel comfortable with. The good news is that you don’t need to do this hundreds of times in order for your mind to become comfortable with the new reality that you want to create.

You have to know the correct way to reprogram yourself on a subconscious level, which I will share with you. Once you have reprogrammed yourself to be comfortable with success, whether it’s financial, spiritual, emotional or physical etc, when it shows up in your life you will naturally move towards success because it is what you know, its familiar and you feel comfortable with it. When you have learned to drive this deep into your subconscious as I will teach you, you will literally become a magnet for success and you will also suddenly start noticing and acting on opportunities that in the past you would have missed.

Please leave your comments and if you enjoyed this feel free to share it on your profile page a with your friends.

I will post the next note soon

Love to you all

Robert

Hi Robert – never heard that quote before about the basic drive being familiarity rather than survival – very interesting and useful for everyone…

Once we accept the certainties of the human condition we can accept and prepare to meet the obstacles that the human condition throws up – i.e need to know predictable outcomes (even though they don’t help us move forward), love , need for recognition and so on – every human has the same needs to some degree – the trick is to be prepared to recognize this as an unavoidable part of being human – (thanks to Ian Chapman for this insight)

Hi Robert,

first of all thank you again for the wunderful teleseminar last sunday. I feel more disciplined, when I visualize with a lot of people at the same time, it is more intensive and reminds me of doing it regularly.

This note here is so true and as I was reading it, I just clicked and I realized that I may be a little afraid of success. I don´t why, but I had the feeling many times. I have great projects coming up, some of them are really big and I have never done it before. Sometimes I wonder and think” maybe something happens and nothing of it will materialize”. As I am writing, I realize, that I might be afraid of failure. There is so much pressure from the outside world and my family, especially my mother that puts me over and over again in the situaion of being afraid of failure. Even I know I have to change the pattern, sometimes I am off track.
I think young kids are not afraid of failure cause they do not bother what other people may think or that failure has a negative touch. I know it should not have a negative touch, but this is what was told me from the outside world over and over again and this is what needs to be changedin my mind. I do not wonder what others may think of What I do, but since my mother always had a strong influence of my thinking and she considers failure as negative and bothers a lot what the outside world thinks of her and me. This is the conflict on my side.

VEry true, to be poor is a mind set, to be rich also.Money cannot stay with a person who has a poor mindset. See most Lottery millionaires.

I really enjoyed reading your note and am looking foward for the next one.

Blessings Tanja

Thanks for sharing this Robert. It was great to be reminded of the key role of failure in preparing you for success. Watching a child fall and get back up as they learn how to do it right is a clear reminder to us all of not being afraid to “pick yourself up and try again.” :

Thanks Robert

There is many people that try to get things right before actioning their dreams. They may try and be stopped or not try at all. This is due to fear of the unknown future of experiencing more losses than gains, more negatives than positives and so on. These are one sided illusions of the mind of beliefs, patterns, judgments and habits and on.

Take note of children…yes one of our greatest teachers! Our personas are building our personalities between 0-7 yrs and by the time we reach teenage life…hey…you want to know anything in life, ask a teenager hehe! We have these beliefs for our understanding and so by the time we reach adulthood we are quite set on our beliefs… as these give way to who we think we are. The good news is …it took many years to learn these beliefs though we can unlearn them very quickly.

People live in a comfort zone so they don’t have to go through the fear. They revolve around fear and guilt. Guilt is an assumption in your memory that in the past there have been more losses than gains, more pains than pleasures and so on. Where fear is an assumption of the future of experiencing more losses than gains etc. So one remains in the comfort zone revolving in life not evolving

Yes there is a dynamics of consciousness where poverty is, only on one level. It is not everyones destiny. I have witnessed many perceived low poverty family members grow up to be wealthy. As I have seen many wealthy parents with children that couldn’t care less about money.

There is nothing ever missing. The universe in infinite and abundant. It’s all a perception. Everyone is wealthy according to their unique values in life. It’s a matter of transforming the wealth into a higher value. Recognizing where ones wealth is and what benefits would wealth be to ones highest values.

When someone squanders money. Firstly who’s perception sees that? The person is living according to their own set of values. If money is not in anyone’s top 3 values then the reality is don’t ever expect to have any or if one suddenly manifests a fortune it wont last. Yes it is his mindset and it’s not right or wrong.

Insightful & true…..to change consciousness and move from the comfort zone to the courage zone required LEARNING.

Because experience teaches on the teachable, one requirement for success is open mindedness, the other keys are the right information and the right support, which is why coaching is the one that thing that actually helps—as it includes learning, application, and support.

Great post Robert. “the number one drive in a human being is not survival it is familiarity”. In working with my retreat guests I find this to be the biggest hurdle to overcome when working with the LOA. Breaking free of the old beliefs and conditioning are such a challenge for most people to free themselves from their “story”. Our “story” is not who we are eventhough it made us who we are. Once we realize this truth it empowers us to move beyond being enslaved by our “story” only because we tell ourselves it feels like who we are because it is familiar.

It can be such a wonderful gift to “release your story” and leave it in the past. Our story is just a starting point in our success it is not the end. Once we embrace our story no matter what our ecomomic set point..upper, middle or lower…then we are free to rise above it. If we completely identify with it then it becomes our achor for keeping us stuck in survival rather than allowing us the freedom to move beyond.

I look forward to your future notes. If we follow your tools it will give us the tools to be unlimited.
blessings,
Annie

Robert,

Loved the note! Thank so much for
tagging me in it :-)

It’s true, what we are familiar with,
we create in our lives. What your
subconscious accepts as reality,
your subconscious works to create.

Obviously, we need to master our
subconscious minds, and develop
the habits which will cause us to
succeed!

I just began meditating daily this
week, and I was surprised to learn
something new about myself
the very first day.

The moment I had a constructive
idea, an idea about something I could
do, I saw my body MOVE, on it’s own!

I didn’t say get up and do it, I watched
my body just DO it, subconsciously.

You don’t notice these kinds of behaviors
unless in a relaxed state of consciousness,
but all I can say is that I laughed to myself,
and said, “Wow.. you have the habit of
immediately going to work to put your
plans into action!”.

Through my studies of what makes success
happen, I could not help but sit back in
happiness with the new level of appreciation
for how far my personal development has
taken me.

Once again, thanks for the tag!
I highly appreciate your comment on my
newest video!

This is such and insightful and important post-
The need for the comfort and familiarity of what’s known is one of the most frequent barriers to sustainable action and change we find when working with the clients we coach. And that need as a driver alone causes so much immobility and fear that often change is not possible. The underlying fears we find that supports this pattern is the fear of the unknown and the notion of not being able to handle what comes up and fear of not being good enough which causes a dumbing down of passion, purpose and caring too! Most of these fear patterns are enabled at a very early age and were meant to be protective at a time when protection was needed.
Consciously recognizing them when they appear, is the first step to choosing a new way of being. Fortunately with the consciousness shifting process I have sourced we can find these and release them permanently. Then we can enable complimentary states of being to support the shift and ease the transition.
I look forward to the opportunity to learn from you and continue the conversation.
Thank you
Karen

Hi Robert,

Thank you for sharing and for the the tag,
When someone takes action and they have gotten alignment with their thoughts there is a power and magic in the willingness to interact with the physical world in this way

In doing the thought work and getting ‘familiarity’ with what you want you are essentially lining up the spiritual forces and then following or experiencing whatever actions you feel inspired to take – if you have done the thought work the actions will come without even having to think about it consciously as you will be a vibrational match to what you want and soon enough you and what you want will be side by side.

There are no limits to what is possible, only limits to what you are allowing yourself to be capable of

Allow yourself to be familiar with your greatest desires and dreams, in your alignment you will see the manifestation of them like you never used to think was possible

Have a Great Day,
Hemal

Robert, thank you for the tag . Your note gave sometime to reflect what has happened to me over the last year. Married a wonderful woman who is full of the universe, a new position at work, one that can over whelm me at any moment in time. But the LOA is showing me that if I ask and believe, I most certainly receive.

Sitting down and commenting on one of your notes and then being tagged, shows me that the universe will opened another door for me to walk through and dreams are becoming very real.

Through positive thoughts and acts comes wealth, health, and prosperity. Thank you

Hello Robert. Sorry for not answering, I have been busy with Christmas arrangements:)
I just say wow, you are so full of entusiasm and knowledge. I love to read what you are writing. I think it is so wonderful that you share this with all of us, and i hope to learn a lot and to put it into action.

I have been attendig courses to develope myself as a person for many years. Learning how to reprogram sayings that you have learn as a child i.e. about money (you have to work hard and then you get money to pay your bills) i agree that what you have learn from your Family, in school and so on will influence your thinking. The great thing is that you can change this when you get aware of this.

One thing im sure of is that i want to work as a coach. I want to help people, and i can see how forceful the coaching tool is.
I think that one of the most important job as a coach is to get people to see themself as the uniqe person they are.

I am looking forward to your next letter.

kind regards, Rita

Robert! I like that you are starting your postings in a blog format. You’re the perfect person for this!

I really identified with your post as it explains a lot for my fear of failure over the years despite being blessed with many gifts. Luckily for me, I’ve overcome this to a great degree and had a good deal of success. I’ve even made a lot of decisions of what my life will soon be like that tackle things that are unfamiliar to me. I’m really excited about it
